Two large, overgrown hedges had taken over the front beds of this Pungo home. We removed both, cleared the beds out, and left the front of the house open and ready for whatever the homeowner plants next.
About this project
The two hedges flanking this Pungo home's front porch had been growing for years and had long outgrown the beds they were planted in. They crowded the walkway, blocked the front windows, and made the whole front of the house feel closed in.
We cut both hedges down, ground out the stumps and roots, and hauled everything away the same day. With the beds opened up, the porch and brickwork are visible again for the first time in years.
The beds are now a clean slate — the homeowner can replant with something sized right for the space, or keep them simple with fresh mulch.
